Updated November 28, 5 AM ... We are now open for the season, with quite good skiing and riding on the limited terrain we have open. While we've received quite a bit of snow so far this season, every storm has been very cold with a low snow level and minimal water content, where we'd rather have very heavy snow with lots of water this time of year to build our base. So, snowmaking will continue to be critical in opening more terrain until we receive more natural snow. To that end, we have moved snowmaking up to Kaiser on Chair 2, and with continued good temperatures the next several days we'll shoot to have upper mountain terrain open by December 5. The forecast is also calling for perhaps more snow this coming week.
We are open today and Sunday with Chair 6 offering intermediate terrain about one mile in length, plus our 400' moving carpet for beginners from 9AM-4PM. Temperatures will remain cool, 30s, and our Sport Shop in the Day Lodge has everything you need - jackets, pants, hats, gloves, goggles, China Peak logowear and more, a great place to Christmas shop for your favorite skier or rider!
Ticket prices are $39 for adults, all other lift ticket rates discounted as well. Ski & ride rentals are at 1/2 day rates, Ski & Ride school at regular rates for lessons and our Learn to Ski & Ride Program. There is no tubing offered at this time. Our cafe in the Day Lodge is open, along with Jack's Place.
Now is a great time to learn to ski or ride with our $99 3 Day Package.
We will close this coming Monday-Friday, 11/30-12/4, then open again on the weekend of December 5-6. If we get more snow and continued strong snowmaking weather to allow us to open the top of the mountain we would reconsider and may stay open daily when that occurs. In any case we will open daily no later than December 19.
Our season pass sale ends November 30, prices will go up on December 1. You can purchase on line, in person or call (559) 233-2500.
